|1.||SHARATH T P||2008-2012||Application Development Senior Analyst|
Accenture Solutions Private Limited
|I am one among the very first 240 students who had opted NIE-IT for their Engineering studies. Yes, I joined this great institution in the year 2008 – The same year when this Institution started functioning.|
When I first visited the college after selecting my Engineering seat, I was shocked!! The college was at infant stage with just 3 rooms and an additional office room. But the name ‘NIE’ made me to stick to my decision of pursuing Engineering degree from this college and this decision of mine did not disappoint me at all.
As the college was new, I was doubtful regarding the placement activities during initial days. As this institution comes under the well reputed and experienced management board of NIE, they managed to bring nearly 20 companies for campus recruitment for the very first outgoing batch and most of the eligible candidates got the offer letters from various companies including Accenture, Infosys, Wipro etc.,.
There are amazing teachers here who are well experienced and very well knowledgeable. I personally like to thank all my respectable, lovely and friendly teachers / mentors in this College who made me who I am today. I would also like to mention that I gained much more from this institution than I anticipated.
|2.||NEETU D||2015-2019||Software Engineer|
|I was in batch of 2015. My 4 years at NIE-Institute of Technology have been excellent and a memory to cherish for a lifetime. The years spent here have been full of learning opportunities that were full of fun frolic and sometimes with academic grind that one has to go through.|
No wonder this Institute is new and striving to achieve excellence, but in the due time it has definitely set some benchmarks in academic and placements. I’m thankful to all the lecturers, who supported us and corrected us throughout our bachelors. I’m grateful to the Training and Placement department for their immense support and dedication to make us competent for the corporate world. Many of the big MNC’s visits our campus every year and I was lucky to be placed in 2 of them.
|3.||ALOK GOKHALE||2008-2012||System Engineer at Siemens Technologies and Services Pvt. Ltd.||I had the distinguished honour of being in the very second batch of NIE Institute of Technology, Mysore. Still only a toddler during my time there, the college had a lot of growing up to do, which it has done, expanding both infrastructure, and the range of engineering branch options.|
Though the college was young, the faculty of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department was experienced enough to guide us through the hardships of VTU engineering. I remember the faculty working hard throughout my 4 years there, and being especially encouraging while guiding us through the seminars and the project work in my 4th year. Associate Professor and HOD SalilaHegde and Asst Professor Manjula A.V. were especially approachable and encouraging, going out of their way to make sure we understood the lectures, and to help and guide students, even those not under their mentorship during academic projects. The labs are well set up to help us cement our theoretical knowledge in practice, and the lab staff is experienced and helpful.
I was heavily involved in extracurricular activities—multiple sports and cultural activities—and was supported in these endeavours by way of being allowed to separately take tests that I missed, and granted a pass for any missed classes.
The department and college also gave me the opportunity to interview for a company as prestigious as Siemens, where I was placed.
I would like to thank the ECE dept for the support during and after my time at NIEIT.
|4.||KUSHAL NAIDU||2012-2016||LM ERRICSON ENGLAND||I’m a graduate of the 2016 batch. I was the first student President of NIEIT. I completed my master’s with a distinction in Computers and Communication Systems, at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Currently, I’m working at LM Ericsson in Ireland.|
The ECE department has always been student-friendly. In matters of academics and extra-curricular, the professors have supported and motivated all students equally and wholeheartedly.
Dr. Archana was the HoD during my education at NIEIT. She is not only an uncommonly kind person but also a great professor. My project guide, Associate Prof. Salila, was everything that I hoped for in a guide. She mentored me and my group tirelessly, irrespective of her schedule. We delivered and won the best project award in our batch, all because of her. It is because of all the professors and support staff of this department that most of us have been able to graduate and support staff of this department that most of us have been able to graduate and
do bigger things with our lives. I am very proud to have been a student of this wonderful department and will continue being a proud alumnus.
|5.||POORNA BHARADWAJ||2013-2017||Software Engineer, Accenture, Bangalore||M K PoornaBharadwdaj, joined NIEIT on 2013 July and graduated in 2017. My extra-curricular activities are singing, poem writing and volleyball playing. I took BE Electronics and Communication Branch, all can agree that it is a difficult branch in engineering. But I can tell confidently that my lecturers taught us very nicely to score more and that education helped us to be in good companies. I am extremely grateful to the management and our department for their tireless efforts to ensure a bright and prosperous future for us. During my study period I found the college to be the best for me as the staffs were able to deliver the best of education. Staff members were always ready to help. The infrastructures used in laboratories are good and we learnt a lot from the department. I have learnt to manage my time at work by our lecturers. Thank you to all lecturers of my department and to my college.|
